Worship service in Shan had started

As MSCF had moved to a new place and requested by the Shan Christians, the worship service in Shan language had started since last Thursday 23.2.2012. That service will carry on every Thursday weekly. The objectives of starting of Shan worship service was to introduce the Shan bible to the new believers and to those who want to learn Shan language.

ရွမ္းခရစ္ယာန္မိတ္သဟာယ ေနရာသစ္သို. ေျပာင္းေရႊ.လာသည္ႏွင္. ရွမ္းခရစ္ယာန္အခ်ိဳ.တို.၏ ေတာင္းဆိုခ်က္မ်ားအရ ရွမ္း၀တ္ျပဳကိုးကြယ္ျခင္းအစီအစဥ္ကို ၿပီးခဲ.ေသာ ၾကာသပေတးေန. ၂၃.၂.၂၀၁၂ ေန.တြင္ ညေန ၆ နာရီမွ ၈ နာရီအထိ ျပဳလုပ္ခဲ.ပါသည္။ ထို၀တ္ျပဳကိုးကြယ္ျခင္းအစီအစဥ္အား အပတ္စဥ္ ၾကာသပေတးေန.တိုင္း ျပဳလုပ္သြားရန္ရွိပါသည္။ ထိုရွမ္း၀တ္ျပဳကိုးကြယ္ျခင္းအစီအစဥ္ ျပဳလုပ္ရျခင္း ရည္ရြယ္ခ်က္မ်ားမွာ အသစ္ေျပာင္းလဲလာေသာ ရွမ္းယံုၾကည္သူမ်ားႏွင္. ရွမ္းဘာသာစကားကို ေလ.လာလိုေသာသူမ်ားအတြက္ ရွမ္းက်မ္းစာႏွင္.အတူ ဘာသာစကားကို သိရွိေစရန္ ျဖစ္ပါသည္။

New worship place for MSCF

As we prayed God had granted us a new place for worship for Shan Christians in Malaysia. The Shan Christians had gathered at the OKD (Organization of Karenni Development) office service for 2 years and had reached out many Shan Christians and included Shan non believers. By the grace of God, on 5.2.2012 onward the MSCF continue to worship at a new place; 75 M, Jalan Alor, 50200 Kuala Lumpur.

Farewell prayer meeting for a Shan Christian

Ms. Nang Kham Li who accepted Jesus Christ since 2009 and also participated in the MSCF service regularly was being resettled to the United State. The leaders from the MSCF and friends were gathered and held a farewell prayer meeting on 11.1.2012. Before she left Malaysia, she served as an interpreter at the UNHCR office helping the Shan refugees.

Water Baptism

On 25.12.2011, Sai Zom Han David age 21 who is the faithfully worshipper from the MSCF received water baptism at the KLBC (Kuala Lumpur Baptist Church) on the Christmas day 2011. He started to believed in Jesus as savior since the end of 2010 and had waited to be baptized.

Shan Fellowship Christmas celebration 2011

The Shan Christians together with the faithfully worshippers from other
Ethnics from Myanmar gathered at office’s service centre of Organization
of Kerenni Development (OKD) on 25.12.2011 to celebrated the Christmas
celebration at 11:00 A.M. Chairperson Sai Tunnay prayed the opening prayer
then Sai Long and Rev. Fin Thangi led the praise and worship. P.s Sai Tin
Maung Htwe prayed the special prayer and then the Christmas message by
Rev. Fin Thangi. Then, all sang Christmas songs and lunch together.

Few Shan Christians gathered @ Shan refugee office to celebrate
the Christmas together with the SRO executives on 22.12.2011 from
3:30 p.m to 8:00.Invited Rev. Saw Kay from port Klang preached the
Christmas message.P.s Simon Shine also shared the message about
Jesus by his magic show.Testimony and words of encouragement by
Rev. Kham from the Kuchai Lama Myanmar Christian Fellowship. The
Christmas was celebrated third time since 2009 at SRO. Thanks to
SRO executive for celebrated Christmas with Shan Christians.

Christmas celebrations

Shan Christian Fellowship will organize the Christmas celebrations at the Shan Refugee Organization (SRO) on 22.12.2011, 3 P.M and at the Organization of Kerenni Development (OKD) – (fellowship Christmas) on 25.12.2011 at 11 A.M.

Testimony of Syama Winnie Nabo

To God to be the glory! Thanks God for giving me the privilege to share my testimony. I accepted Jesus Christ and saved on 25.03.2005. Before then, I was born in a nominal Christian family believing that church going can lead to heaven, not going to church means will go to hell and giving regular tithe is can go heaven. I didn’t know that I was just practicing under the laws from the bible.

One day, one of my friends explained to me that we cannot be progress if we are practicing under the laws from the bible. I was touched by that encouragement and I felt like I was called by God. One day in my dream, God spoke to me that I cannot go to heaven by the laws. God revealed to me (Matt 7:21), I was shocked and totally changed by this bible verse.

I was the leader of the youth group in my church in Myanmar, for me I rarely missed the church service. After I got the bible verse, I asked God that I want to know His will because I feared that I cannot go to heaven even I called Him “God” every day, week, for many years. I attended the bible study class on 25.03.2005. At that point of time, no one from our village including pastor and ministers from our church agreed to me for attending the bible study class. I felt that I was called by God. So I had faced many temptations and disrupts. But God gave me the power to overcome all of that and till today I have privilege to worship Him. After I got saved, I cannot sit and stare at home. I shared the God’s salvation gospel to others even I cannot understand very well.

In 2007, I attended the leadership training in the bible school “tri-hands for God” because I wanted to know and experience more how to share the gospel to others. Later, I served in the “New generation church” in Mawlamyaing, Mon state, Myanmar for more than a year and unexpectedly God had sent me to Malaysia to be in His ministry.

My testimonial (Joshua Tun Tun Lin)

My name is sai tun tun lin and I was born in 1985. I belong from Buddhist background. In 15.9.2004 I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior. My family member is 5 and I have 2 elder brothers and they already married. I am the youngest in my family. My mother and my brother only accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior after 2 years I save my life. Now my second brother also studies M.TH 1 year in Yangon. I started my study from 2005 2008 B.TH 4th years (FAITH BAPTIST BIBLE COLLEGE) Bangalore in South India. It is recognized by international. Then I continue M.min course 1 year (AECS BIBLE COLLEGE) Bangalore in South India. It is recognized by only India. My vision is I will lead my people and I will go around the world to preach the gospel for God kingdom.

I heard the deep call of our Lord

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard though the words of Christ.

I would like to praise God who had given me privileges to share how I received His goodness and mercy, especially solution by grace through faith.

I am Sai Tin Maung Htwe( Ko Gyi), belong to Shan (Myanmar) ethnic tribe lived at No.306, Himthagone, 18th quarter, Bago, Myanmar and I grew up in Buddhist family. The year 1994, 25th may, I arrived in Malaysia by the grace of God.

In 1999, when I was working with my Christian friends at a company, they shared to me about God’s creation and His existence.

Gen 2:7

The Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and became the living man. By God’s leading, I attended the worship service and heard about the words of God. Frequently, I got involved in the fellowship with some believers in October, 1999.

Months later, on 07.07.1999, Malaysian polices arrested me and some Christian friends with the case of the visa expiration and we were detained in custody for 14 days and I was freed from there by the prayers.

After all, on 25th 2003, I received the Lord Jesus Christ as personal savior and baptized in the Kuala Lumpur Baptist church (KLBC). I praised God that He had chosen me from the very beginning of the world and I became a member of the His family. After I got the salvation, I faced the temptations and trails but I overcome just by the power of God.

Even though, God chosen me as a believer, I could not understand what God’s plans and purposes on me. But God had revealed to me at Mark 16:15.

He said to them, go into the world and preach the good news to all creations.

Act 1:8

But you will receive power, when the Holy Spirit come on you and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.

Therefore, in March 2010, I decided to go back to Myanmar and preach about the gospel of Jesus Christ for the native people in Shan state.

Now, I am so glad doing the ministry for Jesus Christ who had given me hope, faith, meaningful life and health. So that I can praise God all the days of my life.

Isaiah 55:6

Seek the Lord while He may be found, call on him while He is near. May God bless every one of you with my testimony .

The Testimony of Sya Nehemi

Praise the Lord! My name is Nehemi and I was born and grown up in a Christian family. But I just literally know that Jesus is our savior but not even accepted Him as my personal savior.

In 1996, I was 18 and after I left my high school; I went to Tachileik to make some money for living. My father was passed away since I was young so I asked my mother that I will go to work and support her. Then in 1998, I got mixed with many wrong friends and I started to use the drugs. I changed many jobs but could not support my mother. So I was totally fall in drug addiction in 1999. I didn’t know anything accept drugs but cheating others by borrowing money from them till I reached the empty pocked situation. Then all of my friends and family had known what was happened to me. I did try to get out of there but was I achieved nothing. My situation was became bad to worse.

At last I was unable to work at anywhere and at that time God had put many trials and problems to make me stop using the drugs. I was narrowly escaped losing my life but badly injured by the motorcycle accident on the road returning home after I went to buy the drugs to use. All of my relatives and friends abandoned me as the useless one. For me, I did try to stop by my own way but did not succeed.

But one day, I shouted and prayed to the Lord Jesus, “Lord, help me out of this addiction”. One day God opened the door for me to go to the rehab centre in Tachileik which sponsored by the Chinese Christian church. We did not stop using the drugs by the taking the medicines but by the testimonies and of the former drug users’ sharing, listening to the gospel, praying and I accepted Jesus as my personal savior. Since then, I read the bible and prayed every day, spent time with Jesus and became closer to Him.

But in 2001, I was not yet the level of maturity, so sometimes, after I was came out of the rehab, I fall again. I started to use the drugs again. Then, I prayed to get out of there again and decided to go to the rehab to build myself to be better than before. This time, my life was changed by Jesus and I felt like I was fur more mature than before. Praise the Lord! To God be the glory!

For me Jesus is our savior, He gave us the power to success and with Him all things are possible. No matter what we will be if we are in Jesus, we will be new creatures. But we need to have the heart of repentance, to be in Christ by praying and accepting Him as the personal savior. If we do that He will give us the power to overcome all things.

In Rom. 12:21, we should not be giving up our hope even in hopeless situation but we should do the good thing by accepting Jesus and overcome all the evil things. But the things were taken place by the grace of God. I know that God will never abandon and let the soul of the chosen to be lost. This was happened in my life, so I shared with you my true personal testimony, may God bless you.
